How did King's Café begin?

King's Café first started in Stamford, Lincolnshire in 2001 as a joint venture between Christ Church and St George's Church to take the gospel into their local primary schools.

The first café was held at St George's School one Sunday a month and soon became well established and attended by children and parents of the school. A year later the same team took the café to the Bluecoat School also in Stamford.

Following the success of these two events the concept of King's Café has begun to be replicated to more schools both in the original area and further afield. Each café is run independently by a local church project team but with the same aim to spread the word in a fun and exciting way.
